    • Follow up appointments 45 minutes and up to 1 hour
    • Recommended Foot Care every 6-8 weeks

    • 22 years of RN nursing experience in Long Term Care for the complex elderly and those with various levels of Dementia
    • 10 years experience as a RN Foot Care Nurse
    • Certificate in Advanced Foot Care from Vancouver Island University
    • Former Owner/CEO of Pedicare.ca which supplied Foot Care Instruments and Supplies throughout Canada and USA from 2005 - 2015

    Why Regular Foot Care is Important

    • Prevents your nails from catching on socks
    • Long nails will cause pain while wearing footwear
    • Prevents excess shoe pressure by decreasing thick nails
    • Thinning callouses and corns decreases pressure
    • Inspect shoes, socks and inserts to make sure there are no problems
    • A more comfortable foot allows more comfortable walking and balance

    • Along with your regular health care provider, regular foot care can alert you to changes in your skin and sensitivity
    • Reddened areas on toes and ankles are a signal of pressure and potential for an open area to develop

    • Each foot has 26 Bones, 33 Joints and over 100 Ligaments (Ligaments connect bones to bones.)
